1st Ninh Binh GM/IM/FM chess tournament 2025

Viet Nam Chess Federation have the honour to invite players to participate in the “1st Ninh Binh GM/ IM/FM CHESS TOURNAMENT 2025”.

TOURNAMENT DETAILS

1. Tournament and Date

• Tournament: 1st Ninh Binh GM/IM/FM chess tournament
• Date: 20th Dec – 27th Dec 2025 (Schedule runs until 28th December)
• Venue: Hoa Lu city, Ninh Binh province, Viet Nam

2. Organiser

• Viet Nam Chess Federation and Ninh Binh chess Club – Future Grandmaster chess club.

3. Chief arbiter

• GM/IA Bui Vinh

4. System

• Groups: There are three:
  • GM group, rating category 7-8
  • IM group category 2-3.
  • FM open.
• Number of rounds: minimally Round Robin 9 -11 games in each groups
• Goal: System tournaments for GM/IM norm and for rating points.

5. Time control

• 90 minutes + 30 seconds increment per move starting from the 1st move. (Also listed as: 90 min + 30 Sec)

6. Default time

• 30 minutes

7. Registration

• The registration deadline is 15th November 2025.

9. Prize

• Certificates about the participation of the tournaments for GM and IM.

10. Transfer

• Estimated price for bus from Noi Bai Airport to tournament venue about 500.000 VND.
• There are some direct buses from Ninh Binh to Noi Bai Airport and vice versa.

11. Hotel

• Around many hotels cost from 500.000 VND to 600.000 VND per night.
• Walk to the playing hall about 5 to 10 minutes.
